Christmas Event Is Finally Confirmed

Niantic added the baby Pokemon last December 12 and users can only get it by hatching a Pokemon egg. Same thing will happen on the upcoming Christmas event. Here’s what you can expect for this event from December 25 to January 3:

  • Increased chance to hatch a Togepi and other baby Pokémon
  • PokéStops will award one single-use Incubator each day after your first Photo Disc spin. As you visit PokéStops during this time period, there will be a greater chance of finding Eggs that hatch Togepi, Pichu, and several other recently found Pokémon.
  • Pikachu wearing a Santa hat will be staying around a bit longer

Niantic’s holiday event is lame! Increased spawn rate and some “baby”mons???? What a huge letdown from the Halloween and Thanksgiving events.

Niantic..was this the best you could think of? You really missed the mark on this one. Bad Call!

Wow, this is what I have been waiting for with anticipation all month? I can’t describe in words how utterly disappointed I am. Around the world this is the largest holiday season and all we get is this? It’s so pathetic and such a let down. My kids and I were hoping for something huge especially since they have not really done anything all month that is remotely exciting [Santa hat and baby pokemon meh]. Why show us a picture of Snorlax and not use him? How about quadruple xp or stardust or anything to save us from what has become a boring grind. How about getting rid of the botters that rule 80 percent of the gyms. I guess Niantic is BAH HUMBUG for Christmas!

I am also hoping for a double exp or stardust or some sort. But unfortunately we did not get it. But I think it’s better than nothing. Who knows? New event may pop-up in new year?
