Christmas Event Is Finally Confirmed
Niantic added the baby Pokemon last December 12 and users can only get it by hatching a Pokemon egg. Same thing will happen on the upcoming Christmas event. Here’s what you can expect for this event from December 25 to January 3:
- Increased chance to hatch a Togepi and other baby Pokémon
- PokéStops will award one single-use Incubator each day after your first Photo Disc spin. As you visit PokéStops during this time period, there will be a greater chance of finding Eggs that hatch Togepi, Pichu, and several other recently found Pokémon.
- Pikachu wearing a Santa hat will be staying around a bit longer
Aside from the mentioned holiday features above, from December 30 (afternoon) to January 8 (afternoon), there will be a Pokemon spawn increase for your first partner Pokemon like Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Pikachu and their evolutions. So expect to encounter more Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise. In addition, Lure Modules time span will also be increased to 1 hours instead of 30 minutes.
