Nintendo has been quite for many years and stays out from mobile and smartphone game market, but the success of Super Mario Run finally convinced Nintendo to create more games for mobile and smartphones. According to a report, Tatsumi Kimishima, Nintendo CEO, confirmed that the company will be launching two-three games this coming year.
More Mobile Games From Nintendo
Nintendo said that the mobile gaming industry could become one of Nintendo’s primary business division. According to him, mobile games will be a great tool to reach more fans that may lead to the increase of company’s revenue. He even suggested that these mobile games are another way to promote the upcoming Nintendo Switch which is set to launch in March 2017.
Super Mario Run was officially released last December 15 and according to a report, the game already reached more than 2.9 million downloads on its first day. Although the game is not yet available for android devices, it already breaks the record of Pokemon Go.
Back to the topic, Nintendo confirmed that their upcoming games will be based on Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem. While these two games are already popular among die-hard Nintendo fans, some gamers around the world are not familiar with it.
