The phenomenal hit Pokémon Go is now set to launch in India tomorrow, December 13th. With the help of the biggest telecommunication company in India, Reliance Jio, which also announced the official tie between them and Niantic.
Reliance Jio Brings Pokemon Go in India
Similar to the partnership with Niantic to the other companies , Reliance Digital Stores and other selected partners will eventually turn their branch into a PokeStops or gyms. On the other hand, Reliance Jio promised to give Pokemon Go players a custom channel on their social messaging app, JioChat. The goal is to give Pokemon Go players a community to help them socialize with the other trainers.
During the recent interview, John Hanke announced the partnership with Reliance Jio:
“We are delighted to partner with Jio to launch Pokémon GO in India,” he said. “It’s exciting to see Pokémon fans in India step out and explore their neighbourhoods in search of Pokémon and Jio’s disruptive high speed 4G LTE Network will be an excellent way to experience the game,” he added.
Since the release of the game last July 2016, Pokemon Go already reached more than 500 million downloads. According to a report, there are already lots of Pokemon Go players in India who already managed to get and almost complete their Pokedex. This happens when Pokemon Go players have forced download the game using an external client.
Yesterday, Niantic announced the release of the new Pokemon in the game which includes the baby Pokemon. This baby Pokemon cannot be captured and can only get by hatching. So you have to walk a thousand miles to get them all.
