There are plenty of eLearning platforms for you to choose from these days. For many companies, using a platform that lets you create and sell your course makes life easier. In this article, eLearning Partners share the best platforms for creating and selling online courses. The following platforms are listed from the most to the least comprehensive.
Platform #1. LearnWorlds
LearnWorlds is the most comprehensive platform on our list, and it is also very affordable. The most affordable plan is just $29 a month, and every plan has a discount for annual billing. Most companies will want either the Pro Trainer ($99) plan or the Learning Center ($300) plan. Given that you can use the program to create your course and to sell and market it, that is a very reasonable price.
Another great thing about LearnWorlds is that it supports SCORM and HTML5 content. This is a unique feature and is the reason why most people choose LearnWorlds. Additionally, if you choose the Learning Center plan, you get unlimited users with a soft cap of 2,000 active users. You can increase the cap with ease by making a request to LearnWorlds.
Platform #2. Kajabi
Kajabi is our favorite platform. The only thing that makes it less comprehensive than LearnWorlds is that it doesn’t support SCORM and HTML5. Kajabi is also very affordable with a $29 starter package, but you will probably want the Growth Package. Also offering an annual discount, Kajabi lets you have 25,000 users with the Growth Package, 2,000 of which can be active. The Pro Package increases the number of active users to 10,000.
Its many features make Kajabi a great option. You can use it for your website builder, funnels, Zoom, coaching, and more. You can also get an extended free trial of 30 days by using our link.
Platform #3. Kartra
Kartra has similar pricing to Kajabi, and most companies will likely go with the $200 package instead of the $99 package. Kartra is actually more comprehensive than Kajabi. However, the difference is that Kartra doesn’t deliver as good of a user experience for admins and teachers. The experience for learners, however, is good.
Platform #4. Thinkific
Thinkific has a free version and plans for $40 and $79 a month, the last of which is one you will likely need. This affordability is a big reason people choose Thinkific. That is about half the price of Kajabi or Kartra and a third the price of LearnWorlds. But there’s a trade-off as you don’t get email marketing built in.
As such, Thinkific can be a great option if you already have email marketing through another system and are on a budget.
Platform #5. Teachable
Teachable is another great choice for those on a budget, as the top plan is just $300. However, it offers the least features. The area where Teachable stands out is its video function. It is worth considering if you want to create video training, especially with microlearning.
Conclusion
Our choices for the best platforms to create and sell online courses are LearnWorlds, Kajabi, Kartra, Epic, and Teachable. Any of these platforms would be a great option, and you will find other great platforms if you just need an LMS and don’t plan on selling your course.
